This role supports financial reporting and accounting across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares and records journal entries in the General Ledger in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with US GAAP
  2. Performs variance analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually
  3. Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and correcting journal entries to address reconciling items
  4. Provides financial data schedules to support auditor and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requests
  5. Participates in SOX walkthroughs and must be able to evidence compliance with internal controls
  6. Prepares financial reports for internal, government, or statutory requirements as directed
  7. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and escalates to General Ledger Supervisor
  8. Documents desktop procedures and ensures procedures are continuously updated to reflect current practices and policies
  9. Delivers work product in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA s)
  10. Participates in special projects under the direction of the Director of GBS Hyderabad or R2R Management
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required: (List only the minimum requirements needed for satisfactory job performance.)Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of Accounting experience, specifically in the Record-to-Report process; Experience with accounting and financial systems, preferably Oracle; Experience in Record to Report process improvement and application systems implementation; knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteEducation/Training: A Bachelor s Degree in Business is required with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred. Knowledge of Financial Services Industry preferred.License/Registration/Certification: Certified Public Accountancy or Chartered Accountancy a plusCritical Competencies required: Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); understanding of internal control elements; analytical skills; good interpersonal skills; good written and oral communication skills; highly organized; ability to meet strict deadlines; excellent customer service skillsWorking Conditions: Normal work environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust and temperature. May be required to lift, carry or move weights of up to 10 pounds.
