Job Description

*JOB SUMMARYThe position is responsible for the implementation, configuration, administration and support of clinical COTS applications. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role and requires the ability to provide exceptional end-user support. This role interacts with a broad range of business units.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in all areas of the project and system lifecycles, including analysis, design, development, implementation, support and enhancement.
  • Responsible for providing technical support related to software applications and hardware including software installation, patch installation, migrations, troubleshooting, maintenance and scheduled tasks for TrackWise, Livelink, eCTDmanager and eSUBmanager.
  • Develops SQL/scripts/procedures for required backend queries and/or updates.
  • Participates in project/implementation work as requested and assigned.
  • Monitor systems and databases to ensure uptime and quality.
  • Ensures all Changes and requests are documented and completed with proper documentation for business compliance and/or GxP compliance.
  • Authoring and accountability of document deliverables (technical design documents, IQ, OQ).
  • Development, execution and monitoring of the qualification deliverables (IQ and OQ scripts, results, change control process)
  • Collaborates with other BT support groups and other business groups to fulfill project and operational requests and issues.
  • Provides timely and clear communications with customers (end-users, IT, and business groups).
, *QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation:
  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Experience / Knowledge:
  • Required: Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in system administration, implementation and support of COTS applications.
  • Required: Knowledge of computer system validation, system development life cycle, change management process.
  • Required: Experience with one or more of the following database query languages: T-SQL, SQL, PL/SQL
  • Required: Working knowledge of SQL Server 2016 or higher, Windows Server 2012 or higher, Tomcat, general networking
  • Required: Working knowledge of system analysis, design, security methodologies, software installations, and trouble-shooting techniques.
  • Preferred: Experience with clinical applications: OpenText Livelink, Sparta Systems TrackWise, Extedo eCTDmanager/eSUBmanager
  • Preferred: Experience in a pharmaceutical or CRO environment, knowledge of clinical trial data management procedures, data management, and/or clinical trial management systems, knowledge of GxP environments
  • Ability to provide high quality system support using knowledge of business processes.
  • Ability to interact with staff from multiple departments to establish high standards of systems support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer management and service skills.
  • Excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to work independently under strict deadlines and changing priorities
