With this unparalleled access to the firm, the role offers a unique opportunity to explore novel and complex challenges that profoundly transforms the bank.As a Portfolio Manager & Coordinator for the newly created Annotation Center of Excellence (ACOE), you will become an integral part of the team helping to driving forward the AI/ML data annotation agenda across the entirety of the firm by supporting its strategic priorities, providing portfolio governance, contributing to business development and building up the wider AI/ML community both in the firm and externally. You will have the opportunity to work closely with industry-leading practitioners at the cutting edge of the AI/ML field, applying impactful solutions that transform every line of business and all with extraordinary visibility to the senior most executive leadership of the firm. Primary Responsibilities
• Assist the ACOE/MLCOE leadership team in driving strategy, growth and setting of priorities
• Define, implement and continually improve portfolio governance including its policies, procedures, operating models and tools
• Oversee the Book of Work including status reporting, tracking of benefit realization, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), time tracking, dashboards and analytics
• Prioritize new projects, assess business impacts whilst managing resource capacity and staffing
• Assist with stakeholder and senior management presentations, reporting or requests for information
• Promote the ACOE amongst the wider AI/ML community, internally and externally, through business development and marketing
• Collaborate with stakeholders including machine learning engineers, data scientists, data engineers and product managers across all of JPMorgan Chases lines of businesses, such as Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, and Asset Management
• Effectively communicate data annotation concepts, process and model results to both technical and business audiences. Break down ML annotation topics in a clear manner
• Understand ML data annotation space, tools, vendors and build RFP for organization needs
• Create an effective roadmap and implement best practices of data annotation for production-level machine learning applications.
• Build rapport with clients and understand the business use-case. Work with business/stakeholders to forecast annotation needs and build roadmap and hiring plans
• Research and identify outside vendors to annotate data which may include negotiating pricing and scheduling annotation jobs
• Provide leadership to your team members for data annotation operations and build a strong culture of trust and commitment
• Drive the team s People agenda including recruitment, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, culture and talent development
• Partner with Finance to optimize financial and headcount resources through the annual planning process
• Partner with support partners to manage real estate, employee onboarding and day-to-day office management
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Ability to work across multiple functional teams to continually streamline the delivery lifecycle and resolve critical project issues and/or dependencies
• Strong affinity and interest in technology, AI or Machine Learning, although practitioner-level experience is not necessary
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, with ability to adapt to all levels of seniority in the organization
• Self-motivated and works well independently, yet flexible
• Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
• Highly dependable, accepts accountability and follows through
• Acute attention to detail and ability to produce CEO-grade deliverable
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong financial knowledge. Full-time masters in a business management (MBA) with finance specialization.
• 12+ years of experience in financial services or a related field in technology preferably in in data collection, analysis or research and leading a team
• Business management or program management experience preferred
• Superior command of PowerPoint and Excel
• Experience with Tableau and Alteryx preferred
• Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning concepts and model scoring parameters such as precision, recall and f-score would be beneficial
