Job Description

Ensures the delivery, quality and completeness of software development work to cost-effectively meet business requirements and to build and preserve long-term value in Novartis ERP systems. Act as provider and coordinator of technical expertise in SAP development technologies like ABAP, S/4 Hana, and UI5. Design, Develop, and Implement ABAP-based business process solutions/services provided by Dev Factory. Address IT/Business escalations from global teams related to technical design decisions/delivery of Dev Factory. Acts as gatekeeper that is responsible for completeness, and quality of development work delivered for deployment into Novartis ERP systems through formal review and acceptance/rejection of this work. Measure effectiveness of vendor performance ( KPIs and CSLs ) and score for continuous improvement. Coach and mentor development coordinators, developers and new joiners to achieve service line goals. Responsible for maintaining , updating Quality review guidelines for Factory team to follow and ensuring compliance to the technical standards ,practices and processes that govern/control Factory Services work (e.g. design, development, configuration); also contributes to definition and evolution of these. Proactive engagement and building of effective working relationships with in IT, the Business, peers and external partners as appropriate. Review technical solutions and Validate technical estimates and suggest best possible approach. Responsible for the review/approval of technical solutions and effort estimates delivered by Dev factory teams to assure the developments according to SAP standards and cost effective. Maintain the holistic view of entire solution and ensure all development objects are backward compatible and scalable for future needs by following industry-driven best practices in ERP solutions (such as code reuse and customization avoidance) Ensure design and delivery of solutions/activities compliant with relevant regulatory controls and Internal policy controls (e.g. GxP, SOX, Security Baseline). Conduct interviews for key development resources. Ensure development services ( Ex assigned projects to you/team) are delivered on time and within budget. Align customer feedback with service providers and evaluate options to improve quality of service delivery. Analyze industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise and on SAP Technology platform. Retain critical and key know how to be able to assess services provided by vendors and third parties Document processes and policies used within Dev Factory Govern system access for development activities Minimum requirements Bachelor Degree ( BE or BTech ) in Information Technology or similar field. Strong written and verbal English is minimum requirement. At least 12 years of IT experience of which 10+ years of hands on SAP Technical ( ABAP, S/4 Hana and FIORI/UI5 ). 5 years of experience in ABAP development as Technical Architect. Experience with SAP PO/PI will be plus. Supervisory Experience: 2 or more years in roles having accountability for the technical work of others is preferred. Remote / Virtual Teams: Experience demonstrating effective working with distributed or off-shore teams is preferred.750 million. That s how many lives our products touch.
