Job Description

    Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Application Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and managing various aspects of application maintenance and deployment. This role requires proficiency in handling complex application patches, upgrades, and deployments, along with a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across different platforms, including web-based application support and Console based application support.Key Responsibilities:
      • Experience with manual application deployments and automation techniques.
      • Experience in handling upgrades, customer service packs, global service packs, and version packs.
      • Facilitate Go Live upgrades from lower to higher versions.
      • experience in co-ordinating with QA/DEV/maintenance teams.
      • Assist with user creation and management experience using active directory and group policies is an added advantage.
      • Address issues related to RF guns and printer configurations
      • Oversee schedule jobs process and bulk schedule jobs queue.
      • Review task scheduler alerts and manage task service creation and updates.
      • Execute SQL scripts, perform database backups, and restore as needed.
      • Verify schedule jobs queue length from the database.
      • Review and troubleshoot SQL connectivity errors, performance issues.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in application support, including patch management, deployment, and troubleshooting.
    • Proficiency in Azure, SQL databases.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Experience with report management, job scheduling, and database operations.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experienced MCSA candidate with good servers understanding.
    • Familiarity with task scheduling tools and auto service start tools.
    • Knowledge of RF guns, RFID readers and barcode scanners.
    • Good experience in IIS administration.
    • Basics of PowerShell scripting.
    • Must and should have the experience working in 24*7 support (Rotational shifts).
