Job Description

    • As an assistant Interior designer you should provide administrative and clerical support to the Principal Interior Designer. These tasks include Preparing Documents, updating client data base, taking phone calls, handling correspondence, greeting clients, organising meetings, estimating project costs, helping source products.
    • Scheduling: An assistant interior designer communicates with the existing and prospective clients to arrange meetings. He/she then prepares a schedule on a daily or weekly basis and keeps the schedule updated with any changes in the time and date of meetings.
    • Purchasing and storage: The assistant interior designer purchases different design materials for the firm and stores it for future use. He/she makes payments to the vendors and keeps records of all the materials purchased and used in any project.
    • Documentation: The assistant interior designer prepares and files project reports and all other documents for the organization. He/she also updates digital records to keep a backup of all the transactions in case the physical copies are damaged or lost. Assistant interior designer has to prepare detailed invoices
    • Customer service: They answer queries and records the complaints of the clients. He/she resolves the queries and complaints or escalates the problem to the seniors in the organization.
    • Site Visits: As an Assistant Interior Designer u need to visit the sites and take care of the executions on the site by explaining the carpenters and other workers about the designs to be executed at the site
    • Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
    • Maintain Purchase of materials, maintaining of all accounts, excel sheets, clients payments, preparing the quotations, follow up of clients for the quotations, maintaining of order books and order formats as per the specified formats
    • To accompany principal Interior designer Mr. Josseph to various sites and assist him in execution of the sites and as per the client requirement when and where ever required for local and out station projects
    • Preparing quotations, BOQ if required and maintaining of emails, follow up calls and also coordinating with the site supervisors in follow up with the completion of the sites as per the Instructions of the Principal Interior Designer
    • Preparing of agreements as per the final requirement and amount finalised by the Interior Designer as per the scope of works and maintaining the records
    • Maintaining the files and records site wise as per the expenses on the site and maintain payment receipts and vouchers
    • Maintain employees attendance and take care of all the data as per data protection act in the office.
    • Acting as a first point of contact for dealing with phone calls and correspondence
    • Managing diaries and organising meetings and appointments often controlling access to the manager, site supervisor and executive
    • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation and also willing to travel outstation to assist the Principal Interior designer
    • Organising events and conferences
    • Preparing of 2d auto cad drawings & working drawings along with reading, understanding and executing the drawings as per the approved designs by the Principal Interior designer at the site.
