Job Description

This leadership opportunity is within the Healthcare, Life Sciences and Medical Devices (HLS) Domain & Consulting Unit of Wipro. The Unit focuses on 5 areas globally Healthcare Payer & Providers, Medicare, Medicaid, Medical Devices, and Life Sciences with the purpose of helping their clients achieve real business improvements and value. The unit is accountable for consultative industry domain led expertise and thought leadership to define, design and deliver business outcomes to our clients and help elevate the impact.Job SummaryYou will be a key member of Wipro s HLS Domain & Consulting team and will focus primarily on leading consulting delivery & growth. As the Associate Consulting Partner, you will be:

  • Defining, owning, and driving and building the Supply Chain and Manufacturing practice within the Pharma/Life Sciences industry with focus on differentiated offerings & solutions.
  • As part of Head of Wipro s Pharma Supply Chain & Manufacturing practice, you will create and maximize value for our Pharma clients.
  • Willing to explore interesting opportunities for growth and development and to take on variety of challenging assignments in multiple areas and design solutions for the complexities of an ever-changing global marketplace.
  • Spokesperson and champion, both internally and externally, for the Practice Area owned.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Account Leads and schedule through excellent communication and weekly follow-up calls to establish the practice
  • Make personal contact with prospective Clients or managing staff for the purpose of introducing and presenting a detailed overview of Wipro to perspective Clients
  • Manage and grow existing pipeline while also penetrating new business opportunities.
  • Exhibit high energy level and initiative while conducting solution demonstrations.
  • Collaborating with various cross-organization pursuit teams to define and sell consulting opportunities across Life Sciences and Biotech industry.
  • Executing consulting engagements with delivery teams, delivery managers and client teams.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and providing thought leadership and mentoring to clients.
  • As a senior member of the practice, help grow and shape the overall HLS Domain & Consulting team.
Core Responsibilities
  • Domain Offerings & Solutions: Identifies the leading business and technology challenges facing the Life Sciences industry today and leads the definition through ideation, and solutions that solves for our client s most complex issues and drives business transformation. Get established as the Go-To person for domain-led and/or consulting-led sales within the Life Sciences domain, with a focus on growing practice areas, owned.
  • Business Financials: Owns the P&L responsibility for practice/focus area(s) assigned. Define/Refine and execute in creating new business opportunities & new business wins (Revenue and OB).
  • Practice Management / Operations: Drives recruiting to help build the team of thought leaders who can develop and deliver innovative solutions and offerings that can be taken to market. Committed to engaging with, training, mentoring members of the broader Life Sciences Consulting practice.
  • Thought Leadership & Branding: Creating a strong Wipro Market Positioning increasing Wipro s mindshare in the Pharmaceutical Industry, with product companies, analysts, advisors and influencers. Creating external facing collateral, in partnership with Wipro s Marketing teams, on Wipro s solutions/offerings and relevant and emerging topics in the Life Sciences industry.

  • Domain Depth: Strong knowledge of Life Sciences and Biopharma industry, trends that are shaping its future, current challenges that present opportunities for growth, depth the business capabilities across Pharma Supply Chain & Manufacturing function.
  • Solutioning: Strong Proposal Development and Solutioning experience, along with demonstrated experience to lead bid and proposal work end-to-end.
  • Delivery Capabilities: Deep delivery expertise, with experience in handling multi-shore consulting projects, in a distributed team s environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Big picture orientation, growth mindset, and ability to conceive effective strategies to drive growth.
  • Analytical Thinking & Problem-solving: Ability to comprehend complex scenarios, propose effective implementation plans & solutions in tackling challenges.
  • Leadership & Interpersonal skills: Ability to drive & lead strategic programs, manage change, build relationships with clients & partners, motivate teams, and achieve results.
  • Thought Leadership: Be Wipro s voice and a recognized thought leader for Life Sciences solutions/offerings across industry forums, partner events and customer interlocks. Publish, speak and mentor on a range of forward-looking topics around the key growth areas in the Life Sciences and Biopharma industry.

  • Adaptability & Soft skills: Being flexible & learning to deliver in Wipro environment. Soft skills like Process Management, Program Management and Change Management skills critical
Qualifications Required
  • 12-15+ years of industry experience with the past 5 years being in a consulting leadership position, MBA from a premier institute is a plus.
  • Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for different stake holders of industry
  • Functional expertise in a set of specific core processes in Supply Chain and Manufacturing in Life Sciences
  • Experience working in, or consulting to, major firms in Pharma, Biotech and Med Device. With experience leading large teams and/or managing large business portfolio.
  • Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles including defining downstream opportunities, beyond a strategic consulting engagement.
  • Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation.
  • A good mix of experience working in operations and enterprise processes of a technology company.
