  • 5 - 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Core MySQL 5.7, MySQL 8, Percona, MariaDB 10 and MySQL Enterprise Monitoring.
  • Must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience in MySQL database architecture, logical and physical design,
  • Automation, documentation, shell scripting, Stored procedure programming, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
  • Must have strong knowledge on AWS Cloud and Azure Cloud.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate level certified (preferred).
  • MySQL 5 or 8 certified Administrator (preferred).
  • MySQL deployment and implementation support (24*7*365).
  • Hands-on experience on HA Configuration.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Linux/Unix & Windows.
  • Strong understanding of command line and server administration.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Perl).
  • Understanding of PHP, Perl and web application framework.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and propose database technologies, deployment topologies and stabilize Ops.
  • Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any need downtime.
  • Hands-on Realtime experience in AWS Cloud (EC2, RDS & Aurora), S3 Backups, Replication, cloud migration tools and DR activity.
  • Hands-on Realtime experience in AWS automation tools and Lambda.
  • Hands-on Realtime experience in Azure Cloud.
  • Develop Stored Procedures and Database Triggers in support of application development.
  • Participate in application development projects and be responsible for the database architecture and design.
  • Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
  • Responsible for developing SQL code review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release.
  • Responsible for regular backups and recovery of databases.
  • Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (e.g., Re-indexing, Archiving).
  • Responsible for pro-active remediation of database operational problems.
  • Responsible for Query tuning and preventative maintenance.
  • Participate in a 24 7 support rotation.
  • Support complex web-based applications.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and uptime of all production databases.
