Associate Director - DevelopmentThis position provides a seasoned software developer with an opportunity to have an impact in shaping the Data, Analytics, and Reporting (DAR) platform as we pivot towards Agile methodologies and the latest technologies. As a senior software engineer on the DAR team, you will foster a strong sense of team camaraderie and leverage your collaborative nature as you work closely with internal business partners to enhance our flagship product.Duties & accountabilitiesDesign, develop, and implement heavily transactional and multi-tiered Web applicationsAll aspects of database development (modeling, stored procedures, performance turning etc.)Should be able to understand non-functional requirements like performance, scalability etc. aspect of the application.Work as team member to understand and implement use cases as per specifications provided by business / team lead.Be able to maintain and support all areas of the application.Be pro-active and creative in answering business requirementsBusiness competenciesEducation and experience Degree in Computer Science or related field 8+ Years in building large scale web-based systems in a Microsoft Environment (ASP.Net, C#, & SQL Server or related) Solid experience with ASP.NET and full-scale web application development Ability to effectively communication both verbal and written Ability to work in team-oriented environment, and also have the ability to work independently Strong troubleshooting skills Good understanding of non-functional aspect of programming. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, Angular is a plus. Knowledge of ADO.NET, WCF, Windows services, MQ, SOA is a plus. Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, KNIME, Qlik, Snowflake, Quicksight is a plus.Commercial awareness Experience and understanding of the web development process and project lifecycles.
