Minimum qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Social Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of relevant experience.Experience writing code in web/ mobile development language (Java, JavaScript, Python, GO, PHP, Android, iOS) and SQL database queries/ analysis.Incident management experience for security issues, reverse engineering and/ or cyber forensics.Preferred qualifications:Demonstrated understanding of OAuth and APIs or cybersecurity. Track record as a transformative change agent in operational improvements.Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities and passion for security.Excellent project management, process improvement, prioritization and multitasking skills with attention to detail.Ability to speak to both technical and business stakeholders and users and interact at all levels of an organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation writing and delivery.About the jobTrust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know- how, excellent problem- solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. Our team works closely with Engineering and Product teams responsible for authorization and authentication of Google Services. We help protect Google accounts from hijackers, spammers, malware developers, and more. As a Lead Strategist, you will build cross- functional relationships and scalable processes, lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, balanced with an intuitive understanding of our systems. Youll be involved with launching some of the most exciting and innovative products at Google.At Google we work hard to earn our users trust every day. Trust & Safety is Google s team of abuse fighting and user trust experts working daily to make the internet a safer place. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.ResponsibilitiesApply advanced statistical methods to complex datasets to understand the impact of abuse to the developer (API) ecosystem. Contribute to strategy/ development of new workflows against additional known vectors of API (OAuth) abuse.Investigate, identify and prevent/ mitigate abusive activities such as intrusion attempts, Botnets, DDoS originating from Google Cloud Platform by researching and developing abuse/ attack detection techniques and solutions.Troubleshoot issues and product vulnerabilities to implement large- scale quality improvements in collaboration with Engineering teams.Learn complex and technical concepts and systems. Communicate technical results and methods clearly.Perform fraud and abuse investigations using various data sources, identify product vulnerabilities and drive anti- abuse experiments. Work closely with engineers and interact cross- functionally with internal teams, including collaborating with policy and legal partners to improve operational workflows via process improvements and automation.,
