Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

RMS PD - Associate Product Specialists will work on Code Red projects in the RMS product sites. This is an individual contributor role within the RMS Product Development team. It includes the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in quality assurance for all assigned applications /projects.
  • Manual testing of core functionality and fixes as well as exploratory testing.
  • Definition and support of automation test targets
  • Working with QA leaders on creation and maintenance of test plans
  • Prebuild testing to ensure changes and enhancements work properly
  • Content testing to ensure data is correct, consistent, and meaningful
  • Performance testing to ensure the speed and efficiency of application calculations
  • Support of all hands regression testing which accompany product releases
  • Support mobile, Windows testing
  • Contribution to Product Design and Maintenance
  • Contribute to departmental product development projects
  • Critical Product Analysis
  • Identify recurring issues/requests and make recommendations for feature enhancements
  • Identify areas for improvement of product support
  • Product Documentation and Education
  • Create and maintain support and troubleshooting documentation
  • Regularly share Code Red product best practices with stakeholders
  • Participate in international team meetings with development updates
  • Ensuring product quality for all assigned applications/projects
  • Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to achieve outstanding user experience
  • Cross-team collaboration to continuously improve QA and development processes
  • Willingness to expand responsibilities and take on a leadership role over time

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate/master s degree in finance or Information Systems
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and on financial databases used in financial markets
  • Comfortable with technical details and a basic understanding of SQL/JAVA/C++
  • Willingness to learn newer technologies
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to work independently
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology and tools (Scrum/JIRA)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point & OneNote)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Project/task management and/or product development experience is an added advantage.
  • Investment management, brokerage or banking experience a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience with enterprise software from FactSet, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters or Bloomberg a plus
  • Knowledge of terms used in financial markets is highly desirable
