This role will be responsible to develop, deliver and manage innovative collections strategies using traditional and alternative contact channels. The role will utilize analytics and influencing skills to create customer focused segmentation and event driven treatment strategies using predictive modeling techniques across multiple large national retail portfolios. The AVP is a thought leader in the team, asking questions and proposing ideas to test new concepts. The AVP initiates and leads these projects, working closely with stakeholders throughout the process, from initial discussions to strategy execution and performance measurement within established rigor.Essential Responsibilities:Leverage data analytics to develop, design and test POC collection strategies for consumer credit products across multiple contact channels with loss/cost estimationIncorporate new data elements, sources and channels to help promote efficient and effective strategies and customer contact preferencesProvide thought leaderhip and strategic and analytic support to the group through the utilization of data mining skills and business knowledgeStrong background in successful communication with Senior Leadership teams in a clear, concise mannerResponsible for delivering Strategic Business Process Reviews on strategic vision and performanceDevelopment and validation of strategy design including fair lending and legal reviewsCollaborate with Risk, Finance and Marketing to drive lifecycle strategies and customer alignmentOpportunity to Mentor new team membersOther duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor s Degree in Business or in a Quantitative Related Field and 8 years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, and data extraction to support strategic decisions.8 years combined experience in financial services, collections, operations, data analysis and analytics, or computer programming5 years experience of advanced SQL, SAS.2 years experience of Modelling Tools like MBDT, Eminer / Other Modelling Tools8 years of experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPointExcellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational and written and verbal communication skills.Ability to make decisions based on quantitative analysis and creative thinking.Strong self-starter balanced with desire to achieve team goals.Ability to handle sensitive issues with uncompromising integrity and confidentiality.Lead Site Level Initiatives as a part of Leadership teamFor Internal Candidates:Understand the criteria or mandatory skills required for the role, before applying.Inform your Manager or HRM before applying for any role on Workday.Ensure that your Professional Profile is updated (fields such as Education, Prior experience, Other skills) and it is mandatory to upload your updated resume (Word or PDF format)Those who are on Formal/Final Formal Corrective or PIP are not eligible to applyEmployees who have completed 18 months in SYF and 12 months in current role and level are only eligibleLast performance rating should be at least Strong Contributor/Critical Talent.Only level 9 & 10 are eligible to applyDesired Characteristics:5 years demonstrated success developing and delivering advanced analytics.Experience in Python would be an added advantageDatalake experience and strategies5 years experience using SAS or equivalent data tool such as Business Objects.Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking toward tactical executionStrong PC proficiency (Microsoft Suite including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) or comparable software application.Masters degree (Business or Science Related Field)Green Belt or Black Belt Certified,
