Job Description

IT Project Manager Role Summary/Purpose Seasoned project manager responsible for project management of strategic and tactical projects through all SDLC phases from project initiation to implementation in financial services organization. These projects will help improve our enterprise customer servicing application and interfaces across Customer Systems & Technologies.Essential Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years of IT Project management experience working with IT Vendor partners delivering complex projects.
  • Manage strategic and tactical projects to improve our applications.
  • Stakeholder management across different levels and functions.
  • Engage and/or lead initiatives around Governance and Metrics, Regulatory readiness, Compliance issues and Financial management.
  • Coordinate System Development Lifecycle initiatives including expansion of Agile, PMO improvements etc.
  • Lead, coordinate and track daily activities required to ensure the projects are successfully completed on time.
  • Develop project plans for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities to the involved project teams.
  • Take up a proactive approach to identify risks to ensure project success and create and maintain a project risk tracker; clearly define effective action plans with responsibilities to mitigate the critical path items.
  • Create & maintain project status reports for all assigned projects. Facilitate regular meetings with all relevant stake holders and project team to discuss/share status and to track progress & health of the project.
  • Plan and communicate with business, IT Leadership, and other key stakeholders regarding status, milestones, issues, prioritizing, escalations and issue resolution
  • Ensures process rigor and adherence to project management office methodology standards.Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor s/College Degree in Computer Science/IT or Engineering with 8 years of IT experience.
  • Strong Project Management experience working with Vendor Partners
  • Experience in managing large projects in financial services organization
  • Good understanding of SDLC processes including Agile and Waterfall
  • 3-5 years of working experience in using and integrating various technologies Java, Web Services, Middleware, Database(Oracle) etc.

Desired Characteristics:
  • Financial services experience (Credit cards domain preferably)
  • Good technical understanding of architecture, technology, and processes of Contact Center
  • Experience with Plainview or equivalent enterprise project management tool.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self starter.
