Job Description

    Position Title: BIM Modeler - MODULARPosition Overview: We are seeking a skilled BIM (Building Information Modeling) Modeler with expertise in modular construction techniques to join our team. The BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating accurate 3D models of modular building components and assemblies, coordinating with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.Key Responsibilities:
    1. Develop detailed 3D BIM models of modular building components using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or similar.
    2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into BIM models.
    3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of BIM models, including dimensions, materials, and other relevant information.
    4. Coordinate with design teams to integrate modular components into overall building designs, identifying clashes or conflicts and proposing solutions.
    5. Generate 2D drawings and documentation from BIM models for construction and fabrication purposes.
    6. Conduct clash detection analysis and resolve conflicts between different building systems within the BIM environment.
    7. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in modular construction and BIM technology, and apply them to enhance workflows and efficiency.
    8. Assist in the development and implementation of BIM standards and protocols specific to modular construction projects.
    9. Provide support and training to junior BIM team members, as needed.
    10. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Proven experience as a BIM Modeler, preferably with specialization in modular construction projects.
    • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related tools.
    • Strong understanding of modular construction principles and techniques.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
    • Problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve conflicts in BIM models.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and protocols related to BIM and modular construction.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Professional certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
    • Experience with parametric modeling and scripting languages (e.g., Dynamo, Grasshopper).
    • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices in modular construction.
    • Previous experience working with modular construction manufacturers or suppliers.
