Together, we re pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives.As a Bioprocess Data Scientist you will take accountability for development & delivery of analytics solutions for the IDBS Bioprocess Lifecycle Management, as well as Research and Innovation platforms. You will play a meaningful role in our Data Science Team, designing, building, deploying and maintaining analytics solutions in BPLM and R&I. You will help in defining use cases, write specifications and validate the solutions. You will also provide hands-on experience in Bioprocess analytics, statistical analysis and visualizations. You will work closely with other teams in their related journeys and gain exposure to a wide range of our software modules and the technologies backing them. The role also involves important aspects of verbal and written communication and requires good organization skills.Responsibilities include:
• Participate in designing, implementing and keep improving IDBS data and analytics platforms.
• Construction and maintenance of solutions to provide insight into Bioprocessing and scientific concerns.
• To facilitate implementation and adoption of solutions by serving as a lead user in one or more information systems.
• Help Professional Services, Solutions Consultant and R&D organization in implementing data analytics solutions for customers, preparing RFI s and RFP s.
• Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and assist in all aspects from inception through delivery.
• Helping in testing new technologies for the company in line with the company s digital strategy around Analytics.
• Study and transform data science prototypes, run tests and experiments.
Interested in this opportunity Youll need to bring:
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Bioprocess/Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or Statistical Sciences.
• Experience working with information technologies and systems and their applications (e.g. Laboratory Information Management Systems, Electronic Lab Notebooks)
• Experience in assembling, analyzing, and visualizing complex data sets (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI)
• Experience with the overall biopharmaceutical development process.
• Experience effectively communicating and influencing senior stakeholders, scientists, and IT colleagues.
• Knowledge of Python, R or similar languages
• Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture
• Ability to assess situations (and data) from multiple viewpoints; communicate by presenting facts and data; challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization effectively.
