300+ The number of clinical trials in development to improve patients lives, towards which youll be able to contribute. This is a global role, functionally reporting to the Finance Head GCS, based in Switzerland, but also acts as the Finance contact for GCS Business in India (around 120 FTEs). The role looks at the GCS external costs from a financial planning and reporting perspective but also drives productivity and efficiency improvements. On top, the role will be responsible for the consolidation of the global internal costs / FTEs (footprint in Basel, India, US), in close collaboration with the country BPAs. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Drive the planning process for global, incl. BPC submission, risks and opps analysis and ensure excellent forecast accuracy Provide timely, accurate and meaningful financial management reporting Manage the clinical trial budgets to achieve stretched targets together with the GCS Business by challenging, supporting and supervising cost allocation and decision-making. Partner effectively within a complex matrix organization on various dimensions (local, global, within GDD across Business Units and Line Functions, with NIBR, Sandoz and GMA as well as with external stakeholders) Drive cost transparency, using existing Data and Digital tools such as SONAR Evaluate risks and opportunities, proactively communicates and makes recommendations for mitigation and ensure business partners understand the financial processes and follow guidelines Lead projects to improve processes and to drive innovation for the area of responsibility Share and drive best practices and know-how within the TRD Finance team. Identify and drive cost saving initiatives and productivity opportunitiesMinimum requirements What you ll bring to the role: University Degree (Bachelor or higher) in Finance & Accounting or similar business degree. At least 8-10 years of finance experience in Controlling / Business Planning & Analysis and Financial Reporting & Accounting Experience in Pharma industry and / or supply chain is a plus Sound experience in SAP, MS Excel and PowerPoint a must; experience BPC / SONAR would be beneficial.
