    • As a Bronchoscopy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals during bronchoscopy procedures, which involve examining the inside of the airways and lungs using a bronchoscope
    • Your responsibilities will include preparing equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and providing technical support throughout the procedure
    • This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Equipment Preparation: Set up and prepare bronchoscopy equipment, including the bronchoscope, video monitor, light source, suction, and other accessories
    • Ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized, calibrated, and functioning correctly before each procedure
    • Patient Preparation: Assist with patient preparation for bronchoscopy procedures, including positioning the patient appropriately and explaining the procedure to them
    • Ensure that patients are comfortable and adequately informed about what to expect during the procedure
    • Assistance During Procedures: Assist healthcare providers during bronchoscopy procedures by handing them instruments, catheters, and other necessary equipment
    • Monitor patient vital signs and provide support as needed, including suctioning secretions and assisting with specimen collection
    • Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and infection during procedures
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper handling and disposal of contaminated materials and waste
    • Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and any complications or adverse events that occur during bronchoscopy procedures
    • Ensure that all documentation is complete, legible, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
    • Quality Assurance and Maintenance: Participate in quality assurance activities related to bronchoscopy procedures, including equipment maintenance, performance monitoring, and quality improvement initiatives
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies to the appropriate personnel and assist with troubleshooting and repairs as needed
