Job Description

    Experience : 5yrs Must-Have Skills - Cassandra DB Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Nice to have skills - PostGres Mongo DBResponsibilities:- Perform Database Administration activities like design, configure and maintain with Apache Cassandra Cluster.- Analyze data access patterns and identify hotspots and bottlenecks.- Monitor SQL/NoSQL performance and optimize table indexes to increase query performance- Participate in on-call rotation for SQL and No SQL database support in a Google Cloud Platform environment- Design and review data models, and help developers execute performant queries.- Manage the storage capacity of the cluster and help plan for growth based on future project goals.- Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues as needed.- Apply best practices for testing and deployment in an agile environment- Willingness to be on-call and support critical database issues that arise in the evening or on weekends. Lead the offshore team and be the. primary points of contact for the customers.Technical Requirements- Demonstrated experience as a DBA supporting a Production environment with Apache Cassandra, including installing, configuring and monitoring a Cassandra cluster.- Experience with Cassandra data modeling and CQL scripting.- Proven ability to learn new tools and technology- Ability to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment.- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and business functions.- Expert-level SQL with the ability to create and evaluate complex SQL statements, stored procedures, and index tables- Strong analytical skills to determine effective approaches to business solutions.- Understanding of database best practices and the ability to promote those best practices in the organization.Nice to have:- Google Cloud Platform infrastructure deployments - application resource management in Google Cloud Platform environment(s)- Experience/Knowledge on PostgreSQL/Mongo/MySQL is plus,
