Job Description

    Offshore Sr. Structural Engineer Job DescriptionA) Qualification : Bachelors/ MastersB) Experience : 15+C) Areas of Expertise :Oil&Gas- OffshoreD) Technical ExperienceStructural analysis and design of offshore modules, and FPSO top side modules (especially process modules)Analysis & Design of Jacket, Top side Deck & Members, Modules, Equipment supports, Special Pipe Supports, Stringer beam local design, Deck plate ( floor plate, handrail route, laydown area ), lifting lugs / pad eye, davit, Monorail beams, Piperack, Staircase / Stair tower / Ladder, Handrail, Dropped object calculations, Material Handling route beam & deck plate design check, All service / access / maintenance platforms / walkways, Hatch cover, Grating design check, Blast wall design, Drip pan, drain box, gutter design, Sea Fastening and Grillage design, Vortex-Induced-Vibrations (VIV) analysis of topside members, Temporary works for installations, Other design structural calculations and analysis (as needed), Weight Control report.Good Knowledge & Understanding of Design Basis, General Notes, Standards, Specifications & Codes, Primary member drawings, Secondary members drawings, Tertiary & Outfitting drawings, Lifting drawings, Loadout drawings, Transportation arrangement drawings, connection detail drawings, fabrication detail drawings.General RequirementsShall have knowledge in international codes and Practices.Study of Design Basis and project technical documentsResponsible for knowing Client Standard & SpecificationsHaving knowledge & Skills of analysis, design and detailing activities of Structural items & works.Awareness of 3D modelling software usedHaving knowledge of Vendor drawing review.Raising of queries and clarifications to clientShall have a good communication and command over English languageShall have pro-active approach & have positive attitudeOverall responsible for execution of project activity assignedSupport Lead Engineer for project activities.Responsible for meeting planned activities.Responsible for understanding the scope of workResponsible for Inter-disciplinary coordination as required.Ensures implementation of specification changes and feedback.Involves in Design and Model reviewsResponsible for tracking the Status of the deliverablesAttending project review meetingsPreparation of progress reportConduct training and mentoringE) Software Knowledge:SACS, StaadPRO (all modules) skills are a must.Spread sheet calculationsOther design calculation software experience is an added advantageModel reviews using NavisWorksAware of Drafting AutoCAD & Modeling softwareMS-Office skills are a must.
