Job Description

As a Cloud Platform Engineer Devops/IAC, you will be part of a diverse team and primarily be responsible for the following:

  • Design , implement and manage infrastructure as code[IaC] using terraform
  • DevOps CI/CD process to deploy infrastructure/services to azure
  • Responsible for cloud platform build, release and delivery pipelines
  • Build the IaC framework from ground up applying all best practices.
  • Author reusable terraform modules and templates
  • Manage resources, using Azure Terraform modules, and automated infrastructure management.
  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining tools built from the ground up in support of self-service, quality, security, and compliance initiatives.
  • Improve quality of service for PaaS & SaaS based application deployments on Azure Kubernetes Services platform
  • Ability to assist, contribute & lead when required with prototyping various platform design specific solutions & technologies
  • Ability to apply global research on next gen technologies, frameworks, solutions & best practices to fulfill various project & platform specific requirements
  • Balance pragmatism with vision; deliver continuous improvements to the team s process and codebase
  • Build automation to prevent and/or remediate service problems from becoming production incidents
  • Contribute and drive knowledge sharing, documentation & collaboration
  • Be a team player, accountable, self-motivated and delivery focused engineer
What we value
  • 11 to 14 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience
  • Extensive experience in DevOps practices - CI/CD, GitOps, Image scanning and signing
  • This person must be a Terraform expert and have extensive experience with Azure
  • Competence in writing clean, bug-free code as per defined standards (appropriate variable declarations, class/method design, non-redundant and optimized code)
  • Ability to write unit test cases and test their code accordingly
  • Awareness of technologies used in their project and coding practices and tools
  • Ability to translate design/program specification to clean code
  • Knowledge of using code repository tools and build automation
  • Azure certificates a plus
  • A passionate engineer who lives and breathes Azure cloud, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, applications at scale.
  • Hands on experience with Git , jira , artifactory , confluence etc
  • 3 years of work experience platform automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) orchestration tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • Hands on experience with Azure services including IaaS and PaaS services
  • Experience building and deploying containers with Kubernetes or the strong desire to immediately obtain significant experience
  • Able to geek out on monitoring, instrumentation, observability with a detective mindset
  • A security focused mind with experience securing SaaS application and APIs in the public cloud
