Job Description

As a Cloud Platform Engineer[aks], you will be part of a diverse team and primarily be responsible for the following:

  • Enhance the capabilities of Cloud Native Kubernetes along with its essential party add-ons like observability stack (i.e. metrics, logs, tracing), Azure Container Registry etc.,
  • Improve quality of service for PaaS & SaaS based application deployments on Azure Kubernetes Services platform
  • Ability to assist, contribute & lead when required with prototyping various platform design specific solutions & technologies
  • Actively develop and contribute to the standardization efforts of implementing ALL Azure Cloud Platform provisioning activities into IaC using tools such as Terraform, ARM
  • Ability to apply global research on next gen technologies, frameworks, solutions & best practices to fulfill various project & platform specific requirements
  • Build specialized skills to contribute & drive delivering cloud transformation solutions for various Alpha program initiatives such as Event Driven & Streams based architecture using Confluent Kafka Platform
  • Balance pragmatism with vision; deliver continuous improvements to the team s process and codebase
  • Build automation to prevent and/or remediate service problems from becoming production incidents
  • Contribute and drive knowledge sharing, documentation & collaboration
  • Be a team player, accountable, self-motivated and delivery focused engineer
What we value
  • 12 to 18 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience preferably in a financial services product delivery setting.
  • Hands on working experience designing/implementing Microservices platform
  • Hands on expertise with Kubernetes and container based deployments: Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Hands on expertise with Containerization & custom image building using Docker
  • Hands on expertise with platform automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) orchestration tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • Hands on expertise with implementing Observability stack model with federated metrics, logs & tracing aggregation, alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluentd & Kibana
  • Ability to create custom dashboards using Kibana & Grafana for both platform & applications
  • Extensive experience in DevOps practices - CI/CD, GitOps, Image signing, Artifactory preferably
  • Conceptual level skills in Event based Architecture & Microservices patterns such as CDC, Eventual Consistency etc.
  • Experience with streaming technologies including Kafka, Azure event hub and Azure service bus.
