Job Description

The Cloud Security Analyst is responsible for the design and implementation of the cloud security strategy to deliver a proactive and defensible response to the threats facing the business cloud solutions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of cloud security strategy
  • Ensuring compliance with existing information security certifications and frameworks
  • Manage implementation of new information security certifications and frameworks
  • Develop and maintain readiness to comply with mandatory breach reporting standards
  • Cloud security risk assessments and reporting on ways to minimise threats
  • Monitoring security vulnerabilities and hacking threats
  • Plan and perform security assessments, including audits, gap assessments, vulnerability testing, resource monitoring and anomaly detection
  • Tracking latest cloud security innovations and keeping abreast of latest cloud security technologies
  • Communicating with key stakeholders about cloud security threats
  • Implementing an effective process for the reporting of security incidents
  • Overseeing the investigation of reported security breaches
  • Developing strategies to handle security incidents and trigger investigations
  • Championing and educating the organisation about the latest cloud security strategies and technologies
  • Build and maintain information security reports

Minimum Education
  • Qualification in information systems or equivalent
Minimum Experience
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of cloud security
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Proven experience in change management
Good-to-haves:
  • AWS Solution Architect Associate, Professional or specialist certifications
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
  • CCNA
