We are still seeking more specific information about this career from experts in this field.Operate equipment to increase oil flow from producing wells or to remove stuck pipe, casing, tools, or other obstructions from drilling wells.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: *Under direct supervision, performs Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety meetings, and the rigging up and down of Coil Tubing service line equipment. *Assembles and prepares equipment for installation and service. *Assists in the running of a job. *Maintains general housekeeping, clean up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job. *Performs pre/post job Coiled Tubing equipment inspections. *Performs and complete preventative maintenance on all Coil Tubing associated equipment.Typical Duties:Maintain and perform safety inspections on equipment and tools.Prepare reports of services rendered, tools used, or time required, for billing purposes.Close and seal wells no longer in use.Confer with others to gather information regarding pipe or tool sizes or borehole conditions in wells.Operate pumps that circulate water, oil, or other fluids through wells to remove sand or other materials obstructing the free flow of oil.Thread cables through derrick pulleys, using hand tools.Interpret instrument readings to ascertain the depth of obstruction.Operate controls that raise derricks or level rigs.Listen to engines, rotary chains, or other equipment to detect faulty operations or unusual well conditions.Install pressure-control devices onto wellheads.Drive truck-mounted units to well sites.Select fishing methods or tools for removing.
