Job Description

    • Project Management: Plan, design, develop, and maintain construction projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
    • Site Investigations: Conduct detailed site investigations, gather and analyze data such as maps, reports, test results, and technical drawings.
    • Technical Feasibility Studies: Carry out technical feasibility studies and prepare blueprints to meet specific project requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
    • Risk & Cost Management: Assess potential risks, evaluate material costs, and recommend solutions to mitigate risks and manage costs effectively.
    • Problem Solving: Provide creative solutions to any issues that arise during construction, ensuring projects are delivered without significant delays.
    • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the project team, liaising effectively with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
    • Budget Management: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and equipment.
    • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on project status, ensuring milestones are met, and adjusting plans as needed to stay on track.
    • Final Handover: Oversee the final delivery of construction projects, ensuring that structures and services are fit for use and meet all client specifications.
    Desired Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and legal/ regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
    • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
    Key Qualifications:
    • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications such as PMP or Prince2 are highly desirable.
    • Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction techniques is a plus.
