Job Description

Consultant - Production Support

  • In this role, you will be responsible for Application Support Operations and maintenance of multiple applications & databases, used by business units and infrastructure teams. Work with business people to have a real time understanding of business problem and, craft the solution which really fits into customer needs.
Responsibilities
  • Your role will function as an Operations Engineer and add additional value to the work
  • Maintain responsibility for analysis of Incident Tickets & Resolution, supply to Continual Service Improvement Programs
  • Partners client to explain the areas of improvement and remediate recommendations
  • Regular interaction (in person, email and over phone) with business and technical partners locally and globally for status update, requirement discussions, discussion around solution/approach etc
  • Performance management Expertise in monitoring and analyzing databases performance, pool and identifying root cause and suggest solution that improves DB performance to handle growing transaction volumes
  • Provide developers SQL support and mentorship around standard methodologies regarding coding for application performance
  • Familiarity with Cloud DB technology stack
  • Work with internal/external DBA team to implement relational models and assist in planning and performance tuning
  • Support production deployment
  • Build Store procedures and ETL jobs as the need arises
  • 8x5 and on call as needed (Application deployment, outages) availability
Qualifications we seek in you Minimum qualifications
  • BE/B Tech/M Tech/MCA/BCA
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
  • Hands on experience in Oracle PL SQL, Java, JDBC, Hibernate, MS-SQL, RDS
  • Shifts: Rotational Shift 24*7 model
  • Organized, results focused, practical
  • Innovative and willing to supply new ideas
  • Shown problem management and analytical capabilities
