Job Description

    Role SummaryState Street uses third parties to support internal processes and in the delivery of certain products and services to clients. The scope of vendors is wide, including technology service providers, professional services providers, correspondent banks, law firms, data centers, regulatory services and more. These third parties are evaluated and risk assessed through our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program. The Vendor Risk Analyst will utilize their specialist knowledge to analyse vendor responses to diligence questionnaires, to identify risk gaps to State Street. The scope of this work includes the following risk domains: Operational Resiliency, Operational Risk, Physical Security, Reputational Risk, Data Privacy, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Tax Evasion. Generalist knowledge of Information Security risk domain is required, and some prior experience with this risk domain with foster success in this role. The successful candidate will independently analyse, document and defend conclusions of their analysis. They will take the lead role to initiate communications and host meetings with key stakeholders, including vendor & business partners, explain and defend risk analysis to stakeholders, collaborate with our internal subject matter experts to achieve timely and accurate assessment results, and manage multiple risk assessments at various stages of the risk cycle to meet internal cycle times. As a member of the wider TPRM team, the Vendor Risk Analyst will also support other TPRM pillars in the upstream and downstream processes, to achieve the wider team goals of cycle time reduction and risk excellence.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct analysis of all DDQs assigned, identify risk gaps to present to SMEs, communicate gap areas to vendor, provide direction on controls or documentation requirements that vendor must provide.Coordinate all next steps required to advance each assessment through analysis stage within prescribed cycle times. Engage the necessary internal and external stakeholders by initiating phone discussions, hosting meetings, communicating via email.Initiate communications with key stakeholders to address potential risk gaps: follow through to collect vendor supporting evidence to close the gaps.Develop and maintain an understanding of State Streets business lines and the products & services offeredDevelop subject matter expertise on risk domains and interdependencies between the due diligence requirements, leveraging evidence from one risk domain to support analysis in another risk domain.Identify business specific nuances to the vendor DDQ responses and enhance existing DDQ questions or scoring, as neededAssist with the creation and / or maintenance of procedure documents and FAQsParticipate in project management efforts including tests of Archer system enhancementsFlexibility in working outside of direct responsibilities to support emerging TPRM program requirement changesSkillsDemonstrate ability to perform risk analysis independently, and to defend the conclusions reachedMust be self-motivated, adaptable and demonstrate initiative in difficult circumstancesStrong verbal and written communication skills; detail orientedStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; effective time management skillsPossess a strong customer centric mindsetDemonstrate a willingness to support change and initiatives within the TPRM ProgramQualificationsExperience within financial services sector (10+ years)Prior experience in risk management rolesPrior experience with vendor risk analysisStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint and ExcelPrior experience with Archer / RSA platform is preferred,
