Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Credit Underwriter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in credit underwriting, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for helping individuals achieve their financial goals. As a Credit Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in evaluating creditworthiness, managing risk, and ensuring the growth and stability of our loan portfolio.Key Responsibilities:
    • Review and analyze credit applications to determine creditworthiness and assess risk.
    • Evaluate financial documents, credit reports, and other relevant information to make informed credit decisions.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
    • Communicate credit decisions to applicants and provide clear explanations for approvals or denials.
    • Monitor and manage the performance of the loan portfolio, identifying trends and potential risks.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting credit underwriting.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
    • 1-2 years of experience in credit underwriting or a similar role (Preferred but not mandatory).
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment.
    • Familiarity with credit scoring models and underwriting software.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in the fintech or banking industry.
    • Knowledge of local market dynamics and customer behavior.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
