Creya Associate Education Program Manager WHO ARE WE AND WHY ARE WE HERE We are a bunch of 40 or so folks who come from wildly different professional backgrounds, and what brought us together is our common belief that the development of skills should be a very important part of our education system, especially in a world where knowledge is readily available. We believe that the quality of life of every individual (and thus, the quality of our country and its future) depends on their skills. WHAT ARE SKILLS While there are many kinds of skills, we follow the P21 skill listing. These are fundamental skills that enable people to make sense of the world, work productively with others, understand and solve problems and reach their fullest potential. Thinking Skills: Analytical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving, Design Thinking Digital Skills: Digital Literacy, Information Fluency Research Life and Leadership Skills: Communication, Collaboration, Leadership, Adaptability, Risk Taking, Initiative, Global Perspectives, Integrity, Ethical Decision Making HOW DO WE DEVELOP SKILLS IN STUDENTS We have written a skill- based, experiential and constructivist curriculum for Grades 1- 10. We partner with schools across the country and train their teachers to deliver this curriculum. When a school takes up our program, we set up a Learning Studio in the school, where each section comes once a week for the Creya class. We then train the teachers and support them as they deliver the program. Our training includes tool- based training, pedagogy training as well as classroom management training. As students use our curriculum, they get the opportunity to work with various tools (Engineering, Film Making, Photo Editing, Robotics, Programming, etc.). Students always work in teams of 3, and always create a tangible output by the end of the class. We are looking for folks who share our beliefs about the necessity of skills in our country, and we want you to help us make our vision a reality in schools. As an Associate Education Program Manager, you will be in charge of 5 to 8 schools, and your primary responsibility will be to ensure that your schools are successful in delivering skills to our ultimate customer the students. This will involve: Understanding our curriculum, our pedagogies and our support models Training and mentoring teachers through onsite and offsite support Anticipating and solving operational roadblocks that come in the way of successful implementation Managing stakeholder expectations (school leadership, parents, teachers and students) Adding value to the company by collaborating with the Sales, Curriculum, Logistics and Marketing teams to find ways to improve what we offer WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA FOR JOINING US The AEPM role will require significant traveling or relocation. We expect people who are willing/ excited at this prospect to apply. We currently have schools in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan. Our headquarters is in Hyderabad. The job, in a nutshell, is to ensure that the program runs successfully in your schools. This will involve a fair amount of communication, collaboration, initiative, adaptability, thinking skills and a do- or- die attitude. The criteria for hiring are: Passion for bringing about a change in our education system Work experience in the Education field for a minimum of 1 year (We would love to understand your perspectives and see how they can be put to use here) Work experience in any field for a minimum of 1 year (We would love to explore how the skills you picked up can be put to use here) A Bachelors or Masters Degree (Show us that you have what it takes to do this job!)
