Qualifications Minimum qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Social Sciences or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience.Experience with SQL database queries/analysis, writing code in web or mobile development language (Java, JavaScript, Python, GO, PHP, Android or iOS).Experience with incident management for security issues, reverse engineering and/or cyber forensics.Preferred qualifications:Track record as a transformation change agent in operational improvements.Demonstrated understanding of OAuth and APIs or Cybersecurity.Ability to speak to both technical and business stakeholders and users, and interact at all levels of an organization.Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities and passion for security.Excellent project management, process improvement, prioritization and multitasking capabilities, with attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation writing and delivery.About the job Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. Our team works closely with the Engineering and Product teams responsible for authorization and authentication of Google Services. As an Analyst, you will build cross-functional relationships and scalable processes, lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, balanced with an intuitive understanding of our systems. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.Responsibilities Apply advanced statistical methods to complex datasets to understand the impact of abuse to the developer (API) ecosystem. Contribute to strategy and development of new workflows against additional known vectors of API (OAuth) abuse.Investigate, identify and prevent/mitigate abusive activities such as intrusion attempts, Botnets, DDoS etc. originating from Google Cloud Platform by researching and developing abuse/attack detection techniques and solutions.Troubleshoot issues and product vulnerabilities to implement large-scale quality improvements in collaboration with Google Engineering teams.Learn complex and technical concepts and systems. Communicate technical results and methods clearly.Perform fraud and abuse investigations using multiple data sources, identify product vulnerabilities and drive anti-abuse experiments.
