Role description:As the Data Scientist role within the Global Shared Services and Office of Transformation group at Salesforce, you will work cross-functionally with business stakeholders throughout the organization to analyze data integration needs, understand processes and policies that impact our data quality, design and implement solutions to improve and scale Salesforce s data integration needs. The role will also perform data analysis and support the creation of executive-level presentations.This individual must excel in data analysis, process improvement, building relationships in business and IT functions, problem-solving, and communication. S/he must act independently and own the implementation and impacts of assigned projects, and demonstrate the ability to be successful in an unstructured, team-oriented environment.The ideal candidate will have experience working with large, complex data sets, experience in the technology industry, exceptional analytical skills, and experience in developing technical solutions.Salesforce is a fast-paced environment and if you can hit the ground running to manage multiple responsibilities while producing high-quality work, you will be thriving in our team! Responsibilities:

• Gather reporting requirements to support the business on a day to day basis, support the global reporting team on high priority issues to support the business to make informed decisions
• Partner with teams across Shared Services and Stakeholder organization to understand their reporting/analytical requirements to meet their business needs.
• Work closely with Outsourced Partners to identify and communicate data anomalies, uncover root causes, and drive to resolution quickly and efficiently
• Build dashboards, visualizations and self-service tools for analysts, shared services operations and key stakeholders to provide business insights
• Partner cross functionally with other business application owners on streamlining and automating reporting methods for Shared Services management and stakeholders.
• Create create functioning ETL solutions to address quickly changing business needs

• Partner with Finance and BT (IT) on target solution architecture needed to implement a layered data stack that ensures a high level of data integration without compromising the quality
• Build new and add features to existing solutions in Google App scripts & Salesforce API to integrate data from several data sources and improve mapping automation
• Support the global business intelligence agenda and processes to make sure we provide consistent and accurate data across the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulate a roadmap of project activity that leads to measurable improvement in business performance metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs) over time.
• Architect, develop and automate BI and analytics solutions, iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale leveraging internal Salesforce and BI industry standard technologies - including ETL, data modeling, and data visualization software.
• Make business recommendations (cost-benefit, invest-divest, forecasting, impact analysis) with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Master s degree in Business Administration, Computing or any related field,.
• 7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, big data analytics or equivalent position
• Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming and experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, JSON, Java etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Experience using business intelligence tools (Salesforce Einstein, Tableau, etc) and data frameworks ( Hadoop etc)
• Experienced in time and motion studies, volume forecasting models, predictive analytics and identifying and interpreting trends analytically
• Strong problem solving with acute attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to tell compelling stories and explain complex issues in simple ways
• Proven leadership skills and business acumen - performance-driven
• Proficient in Salesforce Products
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit specially Excel, PowerPoint and/or Google products to communicate and collaborate
• Excellent presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written.
• Big picture thinker, organized and with high attention to detail
• Team player with the ability to think independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts
• Passionate about striving for relentless improvement
• Flexible working schedule with late night/early morning support hours if needed

• Experience working for shared services organizations, major outsourced providers or management consulting firm
• Ability to travel internationally when required (up to 10%)

Preferred qualifications

• Working with statistical computer languages (R, Python, Matlab, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Distinctive problem solving skills and impeccable business judgment. Good in articulating business questions, pulling from large datasets (SQL) and using statistics to arrive at an answer
• Capable of translating analysis results into business recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience analyzing data related to daily functions of a Shared Services organization (e.g. incident ticket volume, ticket response and resolution time, spend, customer satisfaction)
• Understanding of Procure to Pay or Order to Cash and business systems (Oracle, Coupa, Salesforce platform) a Plus
• Experience in collaborating with remote teams
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and strong influencing and negotiation skills
