Job Description

  • 6+ years of experience as a DBA supporting Oracle 11g/12c RAC databases in Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience in upgrading the database from Oracle 11g to Oracle 12c and migration of the databases
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • In-depth working knowledge of Oracle database and associated tuning techniques
  • Experience in system profiling and benchmarking
  • Experience running and supporting large databases under high transaction rates
  • Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues using tools like OEM
  • Solid experience in database migration from one platform to another, patching, upgrade, data loading, security, capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning
  • Ability to manage all database maintenance plan activities including backups, indexing, integrity and consistency checks, etc.
  • Clear understanding of Database Architecture, Operating Systems, Client/Server Architecture, Middleware and Hardware (Servers, SAN, Network)
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills in English language
  • Good understanding of ETL architecture and working knowledge of Informatica is a plus.
