Job Description

Projects usually start from scratch and require both qualitative and quantitative research. This means thinking strategically, creating research plans and applying relevant research methods to reveal motivations, behaviours and needs of our users and customers. You will be a part of the design team and will be leading research projects independently, working closely with a team of designers, product managers and software engineers in a highly collaborative and agile environment.A command of a wide range of methods along with the ability to articulate and communicate research insights at all stages of product development is essential. Most importantly, you ll need to be a passionate advocate for our users throughout the development process and demonstrate how this leads to business value., An ideal candidate should have

  • 4-8 years of experience in the technology industry conducting User research, with a proven track record of driving tangible outcomes with product teams
  • Educational qualification that is either an advanced degree in Psychology, User Experience, Human-Computer Interactions, Anthropology, Social sciences or related fields, with significant industry experience.
  • Identify and prioritize research inquiries and define the research strategy for your product area. Understand and incorporate business and technical requirements into research.
  • Strong understanding of the research methods and their application during different product development phases.
  • Have an entrepreneurial zeal to get things done & figure out ways to translate research insights into product experiences
  • Experience with a broad range of research methodologies (ethnography, interviews, site visits, surveys, trend analysis, card sorting, usability studies etc.)
  • Communicate results and opportunities in clear, concise, and compelling ways to all levels of the product team; translate research findings into actionable recommendations; ability to translate data into insights
  • Track record of collaborating across disciplines (design, engineering) to drive change into products; must be able to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team
  • Proven ability to work within tight timelines and with excellent project management skills
