The Role: Design and develop quality code to increase build automation and service operability. Build next- gen scalable monitoring and alerting systems Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovations that improve system availability and performance. Collaborate with architects, product managers, performance, quality, and technical operations engineers using Agile development process. Participate in the design, development and operational support for all of the services in your team s area, while making sure that the layering works. Work cross- team to make sure that end- to- end customer scenarios work without tight coupling and without designing ourselves into a corner. Actively engaged in steering the direction of the team on a regular basis Spend several hours a week staying close to literature, publications, and companies pertinent to our space. You use that knowledge to stay at the forefront of technology and understand competitive threats and disruptive innovation Must Haves: Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent engineering experience Strong coding skills Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery systems Knowledge of Linux/ Unix system administration Experience in building/ operating large- scale, distributed, high- volume systems Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent engineering experience 10 years of solid full stack software development experience Proven experience in developing large- scale, distributed, high- volume systems Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Understanding of provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and scaling of large cloud hosted platforms. Public cloud experience (AWS / GCP) would be a nice to have OS/ Languages/ Technologies/ Tools: Linux, Google Go, Java, Python, Node.js, React, SocketIO, d3js, Bootstrap, Splunk, Kafka, Git, Puppet, Docker, Node.js, Nagios, Git, Jenkins, Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark,
