Job Description

Title : Junior Development Operations Engineer ( Jr DevOps Engineer )

Description :

The Jr DevOps Engineer will be responsible for helping us to write robots to help automate manual processes to reduce our human capacity requirements, work on automating our development operations, and improving our development cycles for rapid -cycle development. We are building out our automation pipeline for Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD). Not only will this entail developing on our pipeline but may also include writing up glue code to help bring our application stack together to be more cohesive in the environments. The Jr DevOps engineer will also receive mentor -ship and guidance on practices and principals in order to streamline our developments. Work remote positions available.

Skills and Abilities :

  • Knowledge in Software Architectures and framework development. Must be familiar with development frameworks, data structures and common practices with engineering software.
  • Working with Jenkins/Travis CI for developing automated pipelines to provide seamless deployment cycles to UAT and eventually PROD without human intervention.
  • Knowledge and experience with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), GrayLog, Splunk, SysLog, or any other log monitoring system will be helpful.
  • Knowledge and experience with SaltStack is a plus, however, experience with ancillary tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible are acceptable alternatives.
  • Knowledge and experience with Docker/LXC and CoreOS are a nice to have. Knowledge of Kubernates is a plus.

Prerequisites :

  • 2+ years working as a developer on interactive web sites.
  • 2+ years working as a systems administrator or equivalent position.
  • BTech/MCA/B.Sc or any Graduate with Technical Skills and understanding in working with the tools. Software Development Life Cycle experience.
  • SaltStack certification a major plus!
  • Agile experience. Certificates from scrum.org or other equivalent are a major plus!
  • Pass any pre -employment tests, drug tests, and background checks
