Job Description

    Job summaryThe AWS Enterprise Engineering team is searching for a Support Engineer. We leverage AWS technologies to operate on a global scale and deliver low-latency, highly-available services to enterprise customers. The AWS Enterprise Engineering organization is tackling new challenges to improve security, manageability, enforce compliance, and reduce operational cost via AWS-hosted services. Were looking for a Engineer whos self-driven, able to deal with ambiguity, passionate about giving customers the best possible experience and comes with strong DevOps fundamentals.As a DevOps Engineer in the EE team you will solve complex, mission critical hosting, operations problems throughout the global presence for Datapath and handle on-call on rotational basis. You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. You need to enjoy working closely in a peer group of highly talented engineers.We are looking for smart, results oriented people, preferably with the following skill sets to assist with a quick ramp up to being productive in our multi-threaded Java, Linux and Python environment.,
    • DevOps / Engineering background in Computer Science.
    • The ability to program to solve problems and automate repetitive tasks in common scripting or programming language such as Python, Perl, Java, or Ruby
    • Deep knowledge of the Linux operating system.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
    • A history of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in a dynamic environment.
    • Understanding of storage related technology
    • Must be a self-starter and motivated.
    • B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
    • Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to deep dive to understand root cause of the issues
    • Shows creativity and initiative to improve self-service tools and effectiveness.
    • Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs and delivering measurable results in a dynamic environment.
    • Creation of baseline metrics and monitoring of service health.
    • Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence.
