What you get to do in this role: Build highly reliable and scalable cloud based applications Solve real world complex problems at scale on the ServiceNow platform Examples of past and previous projects include implementing support for multiple databases , automated error detection and self - healing , instrumentation of the ServiceNow platform to provide new insight into performance problems Work with a strong set of teams to improve developing and deploying applications and customizations new technology and innovation to improve platform functionality Be part of a world class engineering organization that takes pride in building extensible and resilient engineering solutions Deliver and outstanding experience for our customers Work in an Agile Framework based environment with bright and forward - thinking developers and quality engineers In order to be successful in this role , we need someone who has: Working knowledge of hadoop components such as spark streaming , hdfs , hbase , yarn , hive and impala , kafka Good understanding of streaming technologies and real time analytics Hadoop cluster administration experience. Excellent knowledge of UNIX / LINUX system administration. Experience of handling on - call support as a sysadmin. Ability to learn quickly in a fast - paced , dynamic team environment Highly effective communication and collaboration skill BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 2 years of overall experience with at least 2 in big data related positions.
