Job Description

What you ll be doing

As a DMTS Systems Engineer, you ll be part of the Network Technology IT Organization focusing on end-to-end architecture covering Planning, Engineering, Service Fulfilment, and Assurance. You ll work on the overall IT architecture and design for OSS tools and functionality development for Transport and Core Networks involving ROADMs, Multi-Service Switches, Routers, and RAN. You will also work on the IT architecture and design for OSS tools and functionality development for service fulfillment of private VPN services, Ethernet services and point-to-point to point wave services to enable services to customers on the access, transport, and core networks.

Responsibilities associated with this position include:

  • Leading and driving IT solutions and initiatives by closely working with planning, engineering, operations, and IT architecture teams, partners, and SMEs.
  • Strategizing, planning, and executing proof-of-concepts by combining telecom domain with emerging software technologies.
  • Providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams in crafting solutions and describing the impact of new solutions to systems and processes.
  • Understanding the TMForum and MEF LSO specifications and standardize the OSS APIs in Planning and Engineering and Service Fulfillment domain.

What we re looking for

You ll need to have:

  • Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience designing and building complex, enterprise-grade Java-based architectural solutions.
  • Experience working with access, transport, and wireless RAN networks involving ROADM, multi-service switches and routers, and associated OSS experience.
  • Experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD tools and technologies, and micro-service architecture.
  • Knowledge of OpenStack-based cloud platforms, Kubernetes, AWS, and building cloud-native services.
  • Knowledge of NFV and SDN products, technologies, and architectures.
  • Knowledge of wireline networks and services (e.g., private and public IP, switched Ethernet, MNS, private line wave).

  • Strong analytics skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Contribution to industry forums (e.g., ETSI, TMForum, MEF).
  • Expertise with access, transport, and wireless RAN networks involving ROADM, and multi-service switches and routers.
