• Work on project and tenders for activities like layout, gauge, weight, car/car clearance, car/bogie clearance
• Pilots train mechanical architecture derivation into installations specification (interface definition, volume allocation, tolerances)
• Gives a continuous visibility on Mechanical development maturity and respect of carry over target
• Organizes day to day collaborative work with SBS designer and the needed development stakeholders (incl. Industrial, DTC, )
• Consolidate needed inputs
• Structure, sequence and pilot the collaborative design workshops,
• Write calculation note for project or customer
• Mechanical Architecture Concept Creation and Equipment/ Component/ Sub-System Volume Allocation
• Prepare specification for type and serial test
• Plane and manage activities and deliverables following the development for quality cycle.
• Applying applicable Mechanical Domain instructions, processes & tools.
• Modelling and storing allocated volumes and interfaces for sub-systems / components in Digital Mock-Up.
• Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to N+1 instructions.
• Updating Digital Mock-Up taking into account Change Requests.
• Manage car level and Installation level Tolerance Stack-up analysis.
Educational Requirements
• Graduated from Mechanical Engineering school with Bachelor of Science/Technology degree
Job Specifications - Knowledge & Experience Ideally, experience of 3 or 4 years on mechanical aspect for rolling stock product and knowledge on standard like UIC 505-1, EN 15273; EN 15663Mechanical design and/or industrialization in any Transport IndustryMechanical engineering preferably applied to railway products (3-4 years experience)Knowledge and practice in design V cycle, design to cost and design to manufacturability Competencies & Skills
• Profound skills in CATIA
• Functional dimensioning
• 3D/2D model design
• Product/Project Life-Cycle development
• Mechanical integration
• Office communication and presentation software
• Catia V5 are mastered and knowledge on Visual basic and DMA is a benefit.
• Good speaker, organized, and structured, are words who define you
• High capacity to work in matrixial organization, multi-site and international.
• English is a key competency. Other languages are welcome.
