JobDescription : S&P Global Ratings The Role : Software Engineer.Grade : 8A.The Location : Hyderabad.The Team : Content publishing is team within S&P Global Ratings Technology.Content Publishing team builds applications to enable our analyst with authoring articles. We build applications ranging from Microsoft word add - in to .NET Microservices. We are building a new platform , that assists an Editor while they write Credit Story. This platform is a new generation article - authoring tool , with best in calls features.The Impact : As a Software Developer at S&P Global , you will be involved in building high available applications used by our analyst across the globe. You will be using the latest cloud services to build applications. These applications are the backbone of publishing articles on the client facing products , i.e. standardandpoors , spratings , marketintillgence.What s in it for you : S&P Global believes in developing talent. Our focus is on transforming the way our users write articles.Responsibilities : Deliver business value through application development , enhancements and production support (advanced / lead level) with a great deal of troubleshooting and multi - tasking skills. Responsibilities also include; In depth Functional knowledge of the application(s) supported and interdependencies. Experience in assessing change impacts and providing effort estimates. Interface with users , business analysts , quality assurance testers and other teams as needed. Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and responsibility with assignments. This includes gathering and understanding requirements , technical specifications , design , architecture , implementation , unit testing , builds / deployments , and code management. Collaborate with team members across the globe. Should independently drive and execute complex technical requirements. Be a self - starter that is also an excellent team player. Follow Agile best practices including Kanban. Experienced in working with global teams , leading Scrums. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. What We re Looking For : Minimum 3 years of work experience in Technology (application development and production support). A full stack developer with a knowledge to develop and execute complex deployment scenarios Experience in C# , .NET , JSON , REST API , ODATA Services , SQL , JQUERY Experience in Angular2 / Knockout JS , HTML5 , XML / CSS Technical proficiency in version control (CVS , GitHub) , software build tools (Maven , ANT and shell scripts).
