265984BREngineering Expert - Network DesignJob DescriptionDesign , install and support Local Area Networks & Wide Area Networks solutions to fulfill business requirements gathered by Global IT Infrastructure & Services Coordinate external and internal resources in daily operations as well as project delivery. Act as business partner primarily for Connectivity Network service lines (LAN & WAN) but also collaborate with other Novartis IT engineering Organizations when and where required Collaborate in IT infrastructure initiatives for standardization and adoption of new and existing technologies Act as senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network including , but not limited to , last level of escalation support (level 4) for daily operations Act as the technology SME interface with 3rd party service as well as technology providers.Contribute to joint architectural / security / service roadmaps and technology standards in collaboration with TAD and ISRM Collaborates closely with service lines and architecture to deliver PoC , pilots and successful implementation of new IT solutions Evaluate new technology and bring opportunities forward that would improve the future network infrastructure , performance and contribution to evolving those standards Plan , design and roll out new network solutions including life cycle (new & like - for - like) through project work Create and maintain related documentation Perform Project Engineering including specification definition , design of solution in compliance with corporate standards , implementation , testing through to production Level 3 and Level 4 Support for problems identified with systems and network. Will act as an escalation for Level 2 and Level 3 Managed Services support technicians Design , and implement solutions based on agreed architecture roadmaps and handbooks. Develop , own and maintain technical detailed standards (code & hardware versions , scripts and templates) per technology PoC , PoV & Pilots Consultation on customer , Connectivity and TIS driven projects Lead SMEs for technology Continuous Improvement , service maturity , service evolution Patch , Vulnerability & Release Management decisions considering ISRM / technology manufacturer , service supplier and TAD recommendations Build automation toolkit and techniques within its area Provide high level consultancy to Connectivity Service Lines and TIS community in their area of expertise Service Improvement review and guide service providers for addressing clean - up or correction of network designs or configs SME Act as SME for one or multiple connectivity technologies and support / consult Perform Project Engineering including specification definition , design of solution in compliance with corporate standards , implementation , testing through to production. Utilize superior customer service skillsMinimum requirementsoUniversity degree level education or comparable education in Computer Science OR Engineering Science (technical background) OR work experience as senior network engineer in a global enterprise. Business fluent in English (Written and spoken) o10+ years related experience in designing , planning , documenting and implementing Network solutions using latest technology o10+ years of SME (subject matter Expert) relevant experience in routing and switching , Software defined LAN networks , and Wireless technologies. oHands - on technical experience on Software defined networking (SD - LAN / SD - WAN) integration. oHands - on technical experience on wireless infrastructure oHands - on technical role , requiring the ability to multitask , prioritize , and accomplish multiple concurrent projects as well as interface with other departments and management. oProven experience in System Development / Deployment oProvides authoritative technical and professional guidance to external and / or internal stakeholders oInteracts with a typically diverse internal and external audience and is required to interpret and communicate complex information oUnderstands the needs of the business and aspects of the external environment (e.g. related IT serviceDivisionNBS Business UnitIT NBS CountryIndia Work LocationHyderabad , AP Company / Legal EntityNov Hltcr Shared Services IndFunctional AreaInformation Technology Job TypeFull TimeEmployment TypeRegular,
