Responsible for design and implementation of infrastructure solutions. Provide engineering to operate and support mission critical infrastructure services to all consumers in Novartis which are in the scope of the BEF and/or COE, ensuring their stability and integrity. Design, implement and maintain infrastructure requirements for development / testing environment Work in close collaboration with Architecture and Operations to integrate new solutions Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of solutions required for new projects Ensure a high integration of infrastructure components Help to drive architectural improvements and standardization for the infrastructure environments Develop and enhance automated processes to release new solutions into the live environment Ensure controls are in place for all configuration items and only authorized changes are made for all assets within enterprise IT environment Accountable to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Engineering service scope Additional accountabilities (optional)) Support operations for high priority incidents Define and maintain Engineering and Operations standards. Collaborate with vendors for smooth introduction of new solutions/services into operationsMajor Accountabilities:Responsible for the overall coordination and design of the required technology. He/She understands how architectures, strategies, designs and plans fit together and understands all the main aspects of design. Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications and online trainings. Experience in installation, configuration and upgrade /migrate and build/support Enterprise Storage platforms Extensive experience in designing, deploying Enterprise Storage platforms from IBM SAN and / or NetApp NAS must have & DellEMC, Hitachi as good to have.Minimum requirements Essential:o Bachelor s degree in a scientific discipline, computer science, engineering or mathematicso Desirable: o ITIL V3 certification Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills Fluency (oral and written) in English, any additional language is a plus Languages 6 - 10 years of experience in Storage Engineering and design. Experience of working in a GxP/SOX qualified environment is good to have Experience of working with cross-functional and global teams including off-shore teams Experience of leading technical projects Extensive experience in designing, deploying Enterprise Storage platforms from IBM SAN and / or NetApp NAS must have & DellEMC, Hitachi as good to have. Experience in data management and data protection solutions Performance tuning, High Availability design, Security hardening, Release management Good understanding of networking and security principles Knowledge of virtualization and cloud concepts Knowledge of Agile methodology Knowledge of ITIL processes,
