Job Description

    You will join the Global ESX Infrastructure Support team and leverage your knowledge of vSphere, NSX, vCF platforms and infrastructure automation to affect change.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
    • Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components with VMware vSpehere 7 and vCF environments.
    • Proficiency as a VMware ESXi system engineer in an Enterprise class environment with vSAN.
    • Experience in end-to-end systems automation and orchestration using VMware vRO and vRA is recommended for this role.
    • Experience with VMware NSX-T a strong plus
    • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell.
    • Experience in large-scale, dynamic, high-availability production environments
    • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
    • Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
    • Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands.
    • Seven or more years of experience in network engineering, software development, or systems engineering, constantly seeking to be an expert. You take pride in self-mastery and knowledge development
    • Strong computing fundamentals
    • A passion for building software, and a long-term career as a software technologist
    • Demonstrated leadership in an agile team
    • Strong networking background, with good knowledge of related protocols and technologies (e.g. BGP, VRF, MPLS, IP, TCP, UDP), as applied to a data center context is a Plus.
    • Strong communications, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently with multiple teams, and both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
    • Ability to think creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement
