Job Description

Technology Controls (TC) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase s Controls and IT Risk agendas with a focus on risk reduction, stability, security, delivery, resiliency and efficiencies. TC s focus on standardization, consistency and simplicity fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across JPMorgan Chase. The disciplines within this organization are Oversight & Controls Technology, Cloud Controls, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, and Third Party Risk Management.Key Responsibilities:

  • This position requires the ability to communicate effectively as you will work closely with other groups both within and outside of CTC to coordinate design, development, and testing efforts of your assigned application components to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, development, testing, and implementation of application components from a project level. You will utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures, and techniques.
  • You will use current coding methodologies to develop and support CTC functionality and contribute to technical code documentation.
  • You will attend technology design meetings and recommend system and data improvements to designers while adhering to all IT control policies.
  • You will identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues to provide superior feedback for approved user documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a technical or quantitative field with preferred focus on Information Systems
  • 8+ years of experience with Informatica ETL
  • 8+ years of experience working within a Linux/Unix environment, including authoring and maintaining shell scripts
  • 8 + years of experience working with dimensional modelling, Star or Snowflake schema
  • 5+ years of experience writing PL/SQL or SQL scripts, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and tables
  • Knowledge on any scheduling tool is must
  • Knowledge on python is preferable
  • Demonstration of mature design, coding, testing, and debugging skills
  • Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to translate business requirements into solutions
  • Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of applications and their development throughout all phases of the SDLC
  • Must have a working knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
  • Must have the ability to work in a complex data environment as well as the ability to partner with the business and IT to find creative data solutions to business problems
