Job Description

We are looking for a finance profession, who possesses excellent technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities and passion to drive change, to join our International Controller Org. The position will report under India Controller and will be responsible for designated accounting processes in APAC and EMEA regions. The role is expected to work closely with teams in APAC and EMEA regions on day to day basis. The position is responsible for many aspects of financial activities ranging from accounting transactions, including but not limited to cash, accruals, prepaids and fixed assets, the monthly financial close, including hands on review and approval of journal entries and financial statements, analytical review, finance operations improvement, to balance sheet account reconciliation in a fast-paced, non-traditional, multi-country and multi-currency rapid growth environment in International. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly close activities including preparing, reviewing and posting journal entries, with SOX compliance
  • Ensure timely completion and review of all general ledger account reconciliation
  • Accountable to Regional Process Owners to ensure monthly financial close is completed on time and accurately
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and drive global/regional finance initiatives to enhance and improve the process to bring operational efficiency for Regional Process Owners
  • Identify areas of process that can be automated and initiate to automate those areas of processes for organization to scale to next level of efficiency.
  • Responsible for implementation of metrics and KPI to measure quantitative and qualitative work delivered and provide the report to respective regions.
  • Responsible for operational controls on SOX
  • Ensure compliance of the US GAAP in day to day work
  • Ensure full support for local GAAP accounting and provide accounting guidance to the team
  • Support Regional Process Owners in preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analyses for management reporting
  • Work with other functions/regions to ensure compliance of global Corporate Policies
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Assist in annual audit with the external auditors and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time
  • Liaison with external institutions (Government, Banks and others) on financial, compliance and legal matters
Background:
  • CPA or equivalent, with at least 10 - 12 years relevant working experience in a Big 4 and a fast-paced MNC environment.
  • Strong understanding of US and local GAAP s
  • Strong understanding of complete process and ability to look for improvement opportunities quickly.
  • Excellent analytical skills, business acumen, organization savvy and passion in process improvement
  • Exceptional communication/influencing skills, able to exercise independent judgment and work effectively with various levels of the organization locally and globally
  • Experienced in Oracle multi-currency and multi-country ledgers
  • Ability to embrace the fast changing technology environment and passion to learn new tools/technology for effective deliverable.
