Job Description

    • We are looking for a Forecasting Analyst to join our Worldwide Capacity Planning team. Our team owns the forecasting models that determine our customer service needs. You will be a part of the planning for Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.
    Here is what you would be doing:
    • Forecast customer service contacts for Amazon Shipping and Delivery Support vertical
    • Analyze existing forecast models and recommend improvements to improve forecast accuracy and reduce manual overlays
    • Lead projects and develop mechanisms to address gaps on inputs/metrices that impact forecast accuracy
    • Coordinate with program teams, leadership, finance on initiatives that impact customer experience
    • Lead discussions on planning assumptions with leadership and downstream customer service planning teams
    • Analyze forecast variance, dive deep to understand root cause, create bridges for forecast variance and present in business reviews
    ,
    • Bachelors degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics or related field
    • 3+ years Excel, SQL experience
    • 3+ years experience in data analytics, financial analyst, business analyst, supply/demand planning or related role involving data analysis
    • 3+ years experience working with cross-functional teams
    • Experience with Tableau, Microstrategy or similar data visualization tools
    • Master s degree in Business, Analytics or a related field
    • Experience modeling data and/or statistical forecasting
    • Operations research or capacity planning experience
    • Some programming experience is a plus to automate tools whenever appropriate
