Develop and implement robust inventory management and supply chain management systems across the company to ensure availability of the right materials , at the right time and at a minimal cost. Oversee the development and implementation of the materials delivery plan / supply chain management in close coordination with projects , to eliminate stock outs and reduce inventory carrying costs. Provide inputs to the procurement strategy for materials to be sourced centrally in domestic markets , or to be imported in consultation with the user department. Should be well - versed with the latest trends in procurement and have sound knowledge in domestic and international markets. Should have fair knowledge and experience in implementation of ERP packages. Should have handled bulk procurement of core construction materials like steel , cement and other consumables in a large vendor base. Should have techno - commercial acumen and be good at vendor negotiation. Assessing performance of the vendors and vendor rating based on various criteria such as percentage of rejections , quality improvements , timely delivery , credit terms , etc. Overseeing follow - up with vendors for timely deliveries , releasing schedules , quality checks and ensuring timely payments. Expert and vast knowledge in sub - contracting and procurement of materials for civil construction in Irrigation , Tunnels , Roads and Building sectors. Formulating and implementing the annual strategies for procurement of material for various projects. Timely finalisation of subcontracts in order to meet the target project schedules. Streamlining the system and procedures for effective inventory control for ensuring ready availability of materials to meet the stipulated production targets. Conducting vendor consolidation for simpler logistics and accruing benefits on account of economies of scale. Candidates with a background in Construction industry and have work exposure in South India , preferable in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region. Candidates should be a Mechanical Engineering graduate with professional qualification in Materials Management. He should have a minimum of 20 years experience.,
