Job Description

COE : BFSIAbout the business (Describe nature of business in detail): GENPACT, as part of the BFSI COE, in-sources Underwriting processes from various Accounts. The Objective of this Genpact operations unit have to tie into the overall aims of different accounts. The group aims to provide a high standard of service for Insurance Accounts and therefore its end clients. The product services include Insurance Underwriting Service processes.Role & Responsibilities:

  • This role is for one of the accounts in Insurance - LSM. This role would be based from Tikri, Gurgaon.
  • Insurance Underwriting (London and EU), Submission Clearance, Binding and Endorsements etc. are the primary activities included
Location: (Gurgaon/ Jaipur/ Kolkata/Dehradun/ Mumbai)Specify sub location (name of office or site.   • Delegated Authority Management i.e. Binder, Line Slip and Consortium Set up
Work experience background required( describe work exp of suitable candidates):Preferably having one of the basic certification from CII London i.e. ALMI, FIT or Cert CII or equivalent
  • At least Need to be from P&C background or degree in insurance
  • Experience in Insurance client will be an added advantage
  • Ability to listen well and comprehend, good customer service attitude to clearly articulate the resolution.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
  • Ability to handle varied volumes of workloads and to reach targets and deadlines on a timely basis
  • Must demonstrate and foster customer focus, teamwork, accountability, initiative and innovation.
  • Must demonstrate a high level personal integrity and investigation / negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of using Excel, MS Access Database
  • Fluent in English language- both written and oral
  • Exposure to London Market i.e. Company (ILU &Lirma) and Lloyds market
  • Knowledge of Insurance Contract of UK (Slip), its sections and details such as written line, Sign Line etc.
  • Knowledge of Bureau/Non Bureau market
  • Exposure to specialty lines i.e: Marine Hull, GA, K&R, Terrorism etc
  • Knowledge of Binder, Lineslip and Consortium Processing
  • Know-how of MGA, SOVs, Broker Schedules
  • Exposure to Reinsurance Market and its types such as Prop and Non prop
  • Exposure to Treaty and Fac Reinsurance
Years of experience( Mention Range):2-3 years of ExperienceEssential skills:
  • Good communication and articulation skills
  • Proactive and ability to coordinate with different departments for inputs
  • Written and Oral English skills
  • Time Management
Preferred skills:
  • Knowledge of Insurance Property & Casualty
