275187BRGlobal Strategy Lead, Data Sciences, SSPJob DescriptionPosition Purpose Facilitate the Development and Implementation of strategy for Data Sciences Own and drive DS Strat plan development and roll outs in coordination and consultation with DS Head Support strategy implementation by working closely with cross NGSC teams driving collaboration and synergies where applicable Leading and manage key strategic initiatives and process re- engineering improvements to substantially enhance service delivery capabilities and improve operations To track, analyze and report the financial performance of the Global DS business Revenue, Costs, and Earned Value.Your responsibilities:Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Advise and support Global Head of Data Sciences with devising business strategy. Put in place processes, tools, and methodology to track and analyze financial indicators. Provide input in to Budgets for DS across NGSCs. Provide associated consolidated latest estimates on current annual budget and for future annual budgets. Create/ manage a management information system/ dashboard to enable effective decision- making. Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding progress, issues and plans related to DS strategy. Collaborate with Business Operations teams across the Scientific Services Practice to drive successful execution of strategic initiatives. Identify and share best practices from other Novartis Practices or external businesses. Oversee resource planning and management (headcount and budget) for defined functions/ locations. Work with Team members and relevant functions to modify operational and administrative processes to enhance productivity, efficiency and/ or quality and to achieve operational excellence.Minimum requirementsGraduate Degree in science, business, finance, or economics Fluency in English is prerequisite, while knowledge of other in- scope country languages would be an advantage - Extensive experience (10+ years) in managing multi- functional Projects, Programs & change Management with internal and external stakeholders - Experience in working in large / international companies - Excellent communication, people management, stakeholders management and leadership skills - Ability to ensure service focus across a complex people intensive and functionally- dispersed organization - Preferred to have understanding of Pharma business and financial issues, including its regulatory environment (life sciences Business Process Outsourcing experience preferred) - Strong and proactive business results- focus, and proven ability to provide insights that increase productivityWhy consider Novartis 750 million.
