Head- Procurement Capability Center Hyderabad Job Description The Head of Procurement Capability Center HYDERABAD is responsible for the execution of procurement strategic and operational activities. Strategic activities include Category Management and Strategic Sourcing support, Operational activities include Tactical buying, COE Reporting & Analytics, COE Esourcing, COE Operational Excellence, Content & Data Management, Supplier Performance Management, Thrid Party Risk Management & Due diligence. The Head of HYDERABAD Procurement Capability Center is accountable for the recruiting, growth and development of all the procurement associates based in Hyderabad. Head of Procurement Capability Center HYDERABAD represents the Procurement domain at the NGSC management team and is responsible for all Procurement domain related local activities Hyderabad is the Procurement Global Hub and largest procurement capability center out of a network of Centers Worldwide, managing 150+ procurement associates. Your responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: Lead Procurement Capability Centre - Lead the procurement transformation within the Hyderabad Capability Center as part of the implementation of the Next Generation Procurement initiative - Manage Procurement capability center for the procurement domain - Ensure delivery of measurable value for Novartis out of the procurement activities performed in Hyderabad Manage end- to- end Procurement processes, technology and standard operating procedures (SOP) - Drive procurement operational excellence, process and technology standardization. - Identify opportunities for digitization of procurement activities through implementation robotics, cognitive, advanced analytics and others existing technologies. - Ensure implementation of procurement best practices. - Promote and measure continuous improvement including performance and compliance reviews. Manage compliance & reporting - Monitor and strive for process and master data compliance. - Report on key KPIs, compliance with policies, strategies and processes and identify continuous improvement potential and new opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance. - Accountable for cross procurement collaboration, cross domain collaboration on site level & local ecosystem management - Foster connections and collaboration across procurements teams based in Hyderabad and the other procurement teams across the world - Foster connections between domains within the site. - Foster connections between sites within the delivery network. - Own operationalization of NBS- wide strategic priorities in the site (e.g. innovation, quality programs). - Ensure site audit readiness and coordinate audit activities. Accountable for the cost structure in the site - Submit and manage site- related budgets. - Support domain delivery of local budgets. - Prevent salary and grade inflation. - Approve salary increases and promotions. - Manage and improve seat costs. - Align policies with local regulations and practices and implement consistently across NBS (e.g. travel). Lead the local talent & recruiting activities - Coordinate capability and skills building local implementation of global programs. - Creating an environment of coaching and on- going capability development, motivating individuals to perform at its best. Setting clear performance goals in collaboration with teams / individuals, monitoring outcome and holding them accountable. - Co- own domain defined staffing activities. - Ensure organizational fit for top- team. - Govern headcount controls for domains, including ramp- up plans.
