A Day in the Life You will serve as a people leader in the Qualilty Organization and lead a team of quality engineers working on activities such as design quality, risk management, post market quality, reliability,regulatory affairs, site compliance & supplier quality. The role requirement would also encompass collaboration between global operating units Quality leaders, Project/Program Managers in US and at MEIC
• Lead the team as a people manager, motivating the team and ensuring defined performance outcomes
• You will ensure the team s work products reflect highly professional standards and functional excellence.
• You will ensure the product is developed & maintained per the applicable SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• You will be able to influence all customers (both internal and external) on issues that impact the business and the quality strategies
• Organize workflow and ensure that each team members understand their duties & performance metrics
• Monitor each team member s productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
• Lead site compliance activities & ensure monthly KPIs stay in green
• Contribute to /drive site level initiatives contributing to positive outcomes, better work culture
• Act as a coach/mentor for team members
• Support goal setting and developmental opportunities for team members
• Hire and train new employees
• Drive product quality improvements and support quality-based processes to ensure the highest quality of products and solutions as well as compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
• Collaborate with business partners to share feedback in order to improve product/process performance.
• Ensure proper analysis of product quality, safety, and reliability issues and effective communication to management and other functions as required.
• Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
• Work within and actively promote Medtronic s Mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct
Must Haves Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology in Computer Science/ Engg, Electronics Engg or related fields
• Overall experience of 13+ years with proven track record of managing team with minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in a challenging work environment
• Prior experience working with cross cultural team work experience is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within the organization
• Good analytical skills and process improvement capabilities with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
• Developing compelling business presentations
• Self-starter and accountable, with sharp focus on quality and regulatory
• Strong knowledge on design controls, software development life cycle models, Agile software practices, product risk management, Cybersecurity, regulatory submissions etc.
• Knowledge of appropriate global medical device regulations, requirements, and standards, such as 21 CFR Parts 820, ISO13485, ISO14971, IEC 62304
